Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were bracing for more assaults.
